Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday emphasised on the need to strengthen coalition for development and peace, and asked members of his party NC to help the government carry forward its agenda with firmness and determination.
"The coalition between National Conference and Congress is a natural one for sharing the high principals of communal harmony, brotherhood, peace and equitable development of all sections of the society," he said while addressing the Provincial Working Committee of J&K National Conference at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan.
"Both the parties stand for solidarity and holistic development of the state irrespective of any consideration of creed, caste, region, religion or colour," he said.
Omar advised party workers to disseminate the people-friendly initiatives taken by the government during last three years at grass-roots level.
He also stressed the need for strengthening the party at all levels and asked the workers to contribute in this direction.
