The CBI had arrested a Railway Board member who said that he was carrying Rs 90 lakh to pay the minister's nephew.
Mumbai: Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal's nephew faces bribery charge now. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday evening arrested a Railway Board member in Mumbai. He was reportedly carrying Rs 90 lakh in cash. During interrogation, he revealed that the money was meant for payment to Bansal's nephew Vijay Singla.
The CBI said that the Railway Board member Mahesh Kumar wanted his posting to be changed.
He had taken charge as the Railway Board member on Thursday. Prior to that he was the GM, Western Railways.
