Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayak Chaturthi, is one of India’s most significant and cherished festivals. It honors Lord Ganesha, the deity of wisdom, new beginnings, and the remover of obstacles (Vighna Harta). Celebrated with immense devotion and enthusiasm throughout the country, the festival lasts for 10 days, filling the atmosphere with a spirit of joy and reverence. This year, the celebration runs from September 7 to September 17. As is tradition, several Bollywood stars have brought home idols of Lord Ganesha, with none other than the legendary Amitabh Bachchan joining in the festivities.
Taking to his social media handles, Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture which showed a beautifully adorned idol of Lord Ganesha, surrounded by an array of offerings, primarily consisting of traditional sweets like laddoos. The idol of Ganesha is seated on a throne, richly decorated in a golden frame, with a detailed backdrop and intricate design work. The scene is set in a vibrant and sacred atmosphere, reflecting the essence of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. The caption, written in Hindi, translates to “Many, many greetings for Ganesh Chaturthi.” In the post, there are also two red flag emojis, further adding a celebratory touch to the message.

Meanwhile, Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says every day is a learning for him as it is filled with elements that bring one closer to the reality of life and living. Amitabh took to his blog and wrote: “Each day of work is a learning for me… Not just the work but just another day is filled with elements that bring one closer to the reality of life and living.”
The cine icon added: “Each day we see meet (and) know life and at times have wonder in our eyes… Look where you are, and what you have within… No point in lamenting a loss… accept it and work to better the day of living for yourself and those that depend upon you… Your strength is within you and you alone shall own it to your need.”
The thespian is currently seen hosting the quiz-based reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati 16”. He was seen learning secrets of shooting from medallist Manu Bhaker on the show. In an episode, Big B welcomed the Olympic medalists Manu and Aman Sehrawat. In a candid conversation with Big B, Manu reflected on her Tokyo performance and shared how she never lost hope, despite challenging conditions.
Amitabh said: “I used to wonder why shooters waited so long after taking a shot. I couldn’t grasp it until Abhishek Bachchan explained that they’re controlling their breathing and heart rate; that’s why they take their time.”
While Amitabh Bachchan has seen several highs and lows in his career, he is currently enjoying the massive success of his recent film, Kalki 2898 AD. Amitabh Bachchan played Ashwatthama in the Nag Ashwin directorial and fans lauded his ‘larger than life’ characterisation. The film also featured Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan alongside Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan has also returned for yet another season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The actor reprised his role as the host for KBC 16 and impressed fans with his dedication and hard work. The new season has brought a couple of changes in the format. Amitabh revealed that contestants on the hot seat can now opt for ‘Dugnaastra’, in which the amount they are playing for can be doubled. They will be presented with a ‘super sawaal’. As interesting as this sounds, there is one catch — the question will not have options.
