Pakistan has renewed its offer to help with the Mumbai blast investigations and dismissed accusations of terrorism.

Dhaka: Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, at the two-day South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Council of Ministers' meeting, said India will take up Pakistan's violation of South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA) at SAARC ministerial meeting on Wednesday.

Saran has accused Pakistan of placing hurdles in the implementation of SAFTA.

In another major development, five countries will be granted observer status in SAARC. The countries are China, Japan, South Korea, the Eurepean Union & the US. All of them will attend the 15th SAARC summit in Delhi, next year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan renewed its offer to help with the Mumbai blast investigations and dismissed Indian accusations of its involvement in terrorism.

"These are instinctive reactions. The finger has being pointed from day one as if there is conclusive evidence. India is finding convenient scapegoats and we reject that," Pakistan Foreign Secretary, Riaz Ahmad Khan said.
