New Delhi: The Apex Court has refused to entertain the government’s plea challenging the anticipatory bail given to former CM Amarinder Singh, his media advisor BSI Chahal and others in the Ludhiana City Centre scam.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court had given them bail on April 5. This was challenged by the Punjab Govt through a special leave petition in the Supreme Court.
On Saturday CNN-IBN Special Investigation Team had exposed stunning revelations by hawala operator Chetan Gupta.
Gupta had admitted on camera that he had facilitated the transfer of black money belonging to Singh, his son Raninder Singh and other family members.
Gupta said he routed Singh's `black' money to a London based businessman's account through an agent.

Reacting to the allegations, Singh had said that Gupta was forced into making these confessions. Singh also claimed that he had been framed by the Akali Dal.
