New Delhi: After the cancellation of National Security Advisor-level talks between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Foreign Office said any future NSA dialogue will happen only in New Delhi and the onus for this is on India.
India's High Commissioner in Islamabad TCA Raghavan was called to the Pakistan Foreign office last week where Pakistan cleared its stand on any future NSA level talks.
The country has also clarified that if and when these talks do happen, then they will definitely consult the Hurriyat. The talks will cover all issues including Kashmir and firing along the border. It won't be restricted to terror alone.
CNN-IBN has also learnt that the US is putting pressure on both sides to talk when both Prime Ministers arrive in New York for the upcoming UN General Assembly session.
There is no scheduled meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif and neither side is keen after the fiasco surrounding the NSA talks.
Pakistan wants any future meeting to be low key, possibly at the level of Foreign Secretaries.
The DGMO level talks which were also agreed to in Ufa will happen depending on the outcome of the BSF-Rangers meeting on Thursday.
Pakistan had cancelled the NSA-level talks after India clearly said that it would not allow a meeting with Kashmiri separatist leaders and talks will only focus on terrorism.
