New Delhi: The murder case of BJP leader Pramod Mahajan is once again back in the limelight with his wife, daughter and brother-in-law being named among the 58 witnesses.
The prosecution will examine these witnesses once the trial in the murder case begins, special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam was quoted by news agency PTI as saying.
Among the first witness of the case is likely to be an inspector who prepared a list of details at the crime scene after the shooting of Pramod Mahajan on April 22, 2006.
Pramod's wife Rekha Mahajan, daughter Poonam, and BJP national general secretary Gopinath Munde will follow.
PTI reported that Nikam submitted the list of witnesses - which also include Pravin's wife Sarangi and the domestic help at Mahajan residence, Mahesh Wankhede – to the court.
Pravin was present before the court on Monday and has been directed to be present during the next hearing as well.
Pravin is accused of having driven to the Worli residence of Pramod Mahajan and after a brief conversation shooting him thrice with his licensed revolver from point blank range.
