New Delhi: The e-commerce site Snapdeal.com has launched the Lytro Camera - Lytro 11-Megaray Light Field - in India. It's said to be the first consumer camera that records the entire light field - all the rays of light travelling in every direction through a scene - instead of a flat 2D image. By capturing the light field, one can do incredible things like endlessly refocus pictures after taking them.
The Lytro camera also enables one to share their pictures online with friends. Users can also refocus the photographs as many times as they wish. With Lytro's light field capability, perspective shift, one can interactively change their point of view in a picture after having captured the shot.
Users can import the picture onto their computer or mobile and shift the living picture in any direction - left, right, up, down and all around. People can easily share their pictures on Facebook, Twitter.
The Lytro 11-Megaray Light Field is now available on Snapdeal.com in 8GB and 16GB variants. The 8GB camera is available for Rs 39,999, and comes in 2 exciting colors - Electric Blue and Graphite. On ther hand, the 16GB camera is available for Rs 47,999.
