Happy New Year 2019 | Google wishes its users a happy new year with an animated doodle, taking forward Monday's celebration.

While the search engine celebrated the last day of 2018 with two purple elephants blowing up balloons and chomping on popcorn, Tuesday's illustration shows the pachyderms rolling and jumping on a balloon as soon as the clock strikes 12, while spraying popcorn in the air to create 2019.

The elephants are seen wearing yellow and green pointed party hats, with Google bunting hanging in the background.

In years past, Google has created New Year's Eve Doodles that feature birds.

This year, Times Square events began at 6pm and culminated with a performance by Christina Aguilera just before midnight, at which point a blizzard of confetti was accompanied by obligatory fireworks display.

Asia's most outrageous beach party takes place in Goa and attracts hordes of revellers.

Beeline to Anjuna Beach, one of Goa's exceptional beaches, where backpackers gather around bonfires, makeshift shacks and bars dotting the bamboo forests lining the beach, to drink and watch the obligatory fireworks display at midnight.

What's your reaction?
