Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa paid backhand compliments to Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj for helping him cement cracks in the state BJP and decided to felicitate him for saving the government by shifting the focus from real problems. The Governor too returned the compliment saying that Yeddyurappa is a good friend and workaholic. This mutual admiration was not without a reason. After all, it was a clandestine understanding and joint plot written and executed by both the CM and the Governor to create a stalemate so that they emerge winners. The duo who met at the KPSC diamond jubilee celebrations shared a few light moments before striking a whispering conversation which actually revealed the secret plot of the two to manufacture a Constitutional crisis in Karnataka so that both could emerge victorious.Accordingly, BSY called on HRB to consult on the possible fallout of the Supreme Court order on the disqualification row. The CM requested him to use all his legal brain to ensure that no BJP members demand his resignation after the apex court order. Here is the conversation between the two, which was secretly recorded by BSY's latest troubleshooter MP Renukacharya before the present crisis broke out.BSY: Sir, you know if the SC order goes against the government, then our leaders would make me a sacrificial goat. After all, they are waiting for such a golden opportunity....HRB: Humm!BSY: Only you can bail me out of such a tricky situation. In the past, it was your statements against the government, permission to prosecute me and forwarding of the officeofprofit petition against Reddy brothers to the Election Commission of India that helped me save my skin from bigger controversies and goofups exposed by the thankless JD(S).HRB: Haa! Haa! Haaa! I know!! I know!!!BSY: The plan should be such that all the dissidents, instead of seeking my resignation, should kowtow before me.HRB: Even I am fed up with the Raj Bhavan. We should workout a plan that benefits both...BSY: Sir, please do... I know even you want to be back in power politics. The country needs your services as a minister... I will be very glad if you again become a minister, sir.HRB: Thank you, Yeddyurappaji, I suggest President's rule if the verdict is against your government. This would automatically make your party rally behind you, while the Centre would be in a tight spot to dismiss a majority government. This would embarrass my former bosses in the Congress and could even move me to the familiar Delhi power corridors.

What's your reaction?
