How to Register Your Phone Number with the DoNotCall Government Website

Visit the DoNotCall Government website here.

Click the "Register Your Phone" button. That should be the button on the right-hand side, to the right of "Verify Your Registration". It should lead you to here.

Run a verification of your phone number with the registry if you believe you might've registered your phone number before from the "Verify Here" button. If you're sure this is your first time registering, you can click the all-caps "Register Here" button.

Input at least one phone number inside the first three lines of the webform. Don't include any punctuation such as dashes and parentheses that normally accompany US phone numbers. Input them as straight text. The fields are marked "Phone Number 1:", "Phone Number 2 (optional):", and "Phone Number 3 (optional):".

Tab or jump down to the "Email Address" box. Your email address is required.

Input your email address into the box.

Tab down into the "Confirm Email Address" button. It is required to ensure you own this registration.

Retype your email. Both your "Email Address" and "Confirm Email Address" must match and be valid.

Submit your registration. Mouse down to the Submit button on the right-hand side of the webform and click it.

Verify that the completed information is correct. Double-check that your phone numbers and email address match valid information. Click "Register" if they look okay. If you need to change any of it, click "Change".

Watch for an email. It will have the subject "National Do Not Call Registry - OPEN AND CLICK on Link to Complete Your Registration" from "[email protected]". You will need to verify this email to confirm that you own this registered phone number. For each phone number you'd like to register, you'll receive one email to complete the registration process for that specific phone number.

Click the confirmation email. Each one is specific to your email address, so only click if the last four numbers match the last four numbers of the phone number found in the email above the link. Click it only once. It will only be available once, and will error out if clicked more than that.

Print the Registration Complete page, if you'd like. Otherwise, close the tab.
