Kufstein, Austria: World Cup qualifier Serbia was held to a goalless draw by Poland in a friendly match played in rainy conditions on Wednesday.
Ajax striker Marko Pantelic missed Serbia's best chance when he fired over following a right-wing cross by Dragan Mrdja in the 74th minute. Midfielder Milan Jovanovic also came close in the first half when his shot went just wide after he had dribbled past two defenders on the left wing.
Goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic saved a powerful shot from close range by Poland midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski after 58 minutes.
The match was scrappy owing to surface water on the pitch, meaning there was little opportunity for any free-flowing football.
Serbia plays Cameroon in Belgrade on Saturday in its last match before traveling to South Africa, where it faces Germany, Australia and Ghana in Group D at the World Cup.
Euro 2012 co-host Poland failed to qualify for the tournament in South Africa.
