Real Madrid head honcho Florentino Perez might be edging towards the final years of his presidency at the Spanish club but he wants to assemble all the pieces of the jigsaw which will make the club invincible for the next decade.
As such, Perez has set his sights on Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho, according to a report by Spanish outlet Real Madrid Exclusivo.
Garnacho recently grabbed the headlines following Manchester United’s extra-time elimination of rivals Liverpool in the quarter-final of the FA Cup earlier this week, with the youngster playing a starring role and setting up the injury-time winner for substitute Amad Diallo.

Real Madrid will be in UK next month to face Manchester City in the second leg of the quarter-final in the Champions League. Perez wants to use that opportunity to hold a meeting with Garnacho and his representatives with the aim of convincing the Argentine to leave Old Trafford for the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 19-year-old winger has been one of the lone bright spots for the Red Devils in what, otherwise, has been an utterly disappointing campaign from Erik ten Hag’s men.
Garnacho has been in red-hot form, scoring seven goals and registering four assists to form an amazing partnership with summer recruit Rasmus Hojlund.
After earning his first-team debut in April 2022, the teenage sensation is enjoying a breakout season at United, becoming one of the first names on the team sheet under Ten Hag and compensating for Marcus Rashford’s dip in form with sizzling displays in attack.
A number of prestigious clubs have taken notice of the young player’s growth at Manchester United. Several rumours have connected him to Real Madrid, and during the past 12 months, Los Blancos have been keeping close tabs on the Argentine.
However, one major stumbling block that could stymie the advancement of talks between Real Madrid and Garnacho is the presence of world-class players in attack, who have already established themselves as one of the best in the world in their respective positions.
Garnacho prefers to play on the left wing but Real Madrid already have a world-beater in Vinicius Junior having his name all over that position. There’s also Rodrygo, who enjoys playing down the left flank but has been used out of position by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, either as a right winger or a striker.
Add to that the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe, who has reiterated several times in the past that he prefers playing on the left wing.
While Garnacho to Real Madrid sounds like a sumptuous deal on paper, it remains to be seen if the player will green light the move to the Spanish capital, where he might not get regular playing time.
