New Delhi: Brazil legend Pele has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo by comparing him to the late, great Manchester United star George Best.
Many players have been compared to Best over the years but, according to the Sunday Mirror, Pele insists that Ronaldo is the one who comes closest.
The Brazilian also added that he was a fan of the €93-million man and admitted he loved watching him in action.
"Cristiano reminds me so much of a player who I thought was brilliant - George Best," said the samba star.
"He is the closest I have seen to Best since he was at his peak, due to the way he runs with the ball at speed, on the left and right, and with such skill.
"I love watching Ronaldo - he's an incredibly talented individual."
As reported yesterday by Goal.com, Ronaldo has signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid and is set to be unveiled at the Bernabeu on July 6.
