New Delhi: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has notified Directorate General of Hydrocarbon (DGH) about discovery of gas in KG-OSN- 2001/1 (NELP-III) block in Krishna Godavari basin off east coast of India.
The discovery has been named Dhirubhai 28. This notification has been made in terms of the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) entered into by RIL and the Government.
The potential commercial interest of the said discovery is yet to be established.
RIL, the country's largest private sector company on all major financial parameters with turnover of Rs 89,124 crore, cash profit of Rs 13,174 crore, net profit of Rs 9,069 crore, net worth of Rs 49,804 crore and total assets of Rs93,095 crore.
RIL is the first and only private sector company from India to feature in the Fortune Global 500 list of 'World's Largest Corporations' and ranks among the world top 200 companies in terms of profits, RIL is also ranked amongst the top 25 climbers in the list for second consecutive year.
