Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 9,128.99 points.
Mumbai: Indian equities markets climbed at the opening bell on Tuesday, with a key index starting higher than its last closing figure.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 9,128.99 points, higher than its 9,066.70-point close on Monday.
After about 10 minutes of trading, it was at 9,209.64 points, 1.58 per cent or 142.94 points higher than its previous close.
At the same time, the S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 2,804.25 points, 1.36 per cent higher than its previous close of 2,766.65.
The BSE midcap index was up 0.92 per cent, while the BSE smallcap index was 0.78 per cent higher than its previous close.
