Bugatti Sells 100th Chiron for Rs 22 Crore to a Middle-East Based Customer
The 100th Chiron goes to a customer from the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle-East, who has opted for an attractive configuration.

Bugatti is celebrating the production and delivery of the 100th Chiron, a milestone in itself for the world’s most powerful production car. The hypercar left “L‘Atelier“ at Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim, Alsace, where the 1,500 PS car has been hand-built since the end of 2016. Bugatti earlier announced to produce only 500 Chirons, meaning a little less than 1/4th of the production target has been achieved in 18 months.

The 100th Chiron goes to a customer from the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle-East, who has opted for an attractive configuration, which also happens to be the first time a Chiron is seen in this skin. The outer skin of the car consists entirely of dark blue carbon, supplied with a matt finish for the first time.

To contrast the dark color is the paintwork of the iconic Bugatti side line in Italian red and the wheels in mink black. The full-leather interior gets red as the dominant colour. The hypercar is priced at €2.85 million net (Rs 21.7 Crore at today’s exchange rate, without import duties and taxes). That’s roughly Rs 2 Crore more than the standard Chiron without any customized work.

Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S., congratulated the owner: “I find the 100th Chiron especially pleasing. It is dynamic and elegant in equal measure. This car shows that Bugatti produces highly individualized masterpieces of automobile craftsmanship that are simply unparalleled."

Winkelmann also expressed his pride in the Bugatti team which produces these hypercars. The Bugatti Chiron is almost sold out and the production of the Chiron is running at full speed. About 70 cars leave the Bugatti factory every year. By this rate, Bugatti will finish the production of Chiron in next 6 years, or by 2023.
