Ishan’s record for India
Ishan has played in all three formats of the game for India. He made his T20I debut against England in March 2021 and scored fifty in the first match. His ODI debut was against Sri Lanka in July 2021, and he opened his account with a six. The left-handed batter got a chance to play Test cricket for India during a two-match Test series against the West Indies last year.
He was part of the Indian team that participated in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup under Virat Kohli’s leadership but failed to qualify for the Super 8s. He made his ODI World Cup debut for India against Australia in Chennai on October 8, 2023, but failed to open his account.
Ishan’s last appearance for India was against Australia in Guwahati on November 28, 2023, during the third T20I of the five-match series, which India played under Suryakumar Yadav’s leadership. He pulled out of the Test series against South Africa last year due to personal reasons and then was not considered for a place in the Indian Test team for the five-match Test series against England at home earlier this year.
