BTS’ RM sure has the most unique way of doing things and we are totally in awe of it. Most recently, the BTS leader, currently on a hiatus due to his military enlistment, congratulated a friend on his wedding by sending a large sum of money. He reportedly asked for the details through a message and sent 10 million KRW (approx. 6 lakh rupees) as a wedding gift to his longtime friend, Rapper Sleepy. The newlywed South Korean artist shared this heartwarming gesture and recalled how RM had asked for his account number and promptly transferred the generous amount. Sleepy also mentioned that this gift stood out as the most important among all the presents he received.
On August 11, Sleepy appeared on the KBS show The Return of the Superman, where he disclosed that RM had sent him a large sum of money as a wedding gift. Rapper DinDin, who was also in the studio, provided some context on how this exchange happened, reports Koreaboo.
DinDin explained that after learning about Sleepy’s wedding, RM sent him a DM to congratulate him and requested his bank details. Despite not expecting or wanting any gifts, Sleepy shared the information. “RM sent Sleepy a DM stating he had heard about him getting married and asked for his bank account information. Although Sleepy said it was okay, he immediately sent his information. He then received an alarm immediately revealing that 10,000,000 KRW had been deposited.”

During the episode, DinDin also revealed that Sleepy and RM have known each other for years. They had first met during the underground hip-hop scene in South Korea. Over time, they developed a close friendship, with Sleepy even introducing RM to HYBE’s founder, Bang Si Hyuk, informs Koreaboo.
Meanwhile, RM is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service which he began in December 2023. He is expected to be discharged in June 2025. On the professional front, the BTS idol recently made his solo comeback with the album Right Place, Wrong Person, featuring 11 tracks, with LOST! as the title track.
