While some called the method a “waste of time”, others said it was a “genius idea.”

A glass of fresh fruit juice is what we all crave to beat the heat during summer and keep ourselves hydrated and energized. From mango and orange to pomegranate, you can make juice from a variety of fruits at home with the help of electric juicers. Oh! You don’t have a juicer at your home? Well no worries, this elderly woman can teach you how to make fresh fruit juice without the help of any electrical appliances. The note attached to the video read, “Grandma_cfc Watermelon Juice making |Summer Drink |Grandma CFC.”

In the video, an elderly woman is seen sitting in a green field with a giant watermelon. To begin the process, she cuts one end of the watermelon with a knife, uses a whisk and plunges it inside the fruit to give it a squishy consistency. Next up, she gently transfers the squishy mixture of watermelon to an earthen pot. Then she removes the remaining fruit part from the shell with the help of a spoon.

Next, she puts a plastic tap at the bottom of the Watermelon shell to make it a kind of water filter. Then with the help of a sieve, she gently pours the mixture in the shell separating the watermelon seeds and fruit pulp. She adds a bowl of sugar and ice cubes to the juice.

At the end of the video, the woman, instead of using a glass, takes the piece that she had cut out of the watermelon at the beginning and uses it as a bowl to drink the juice.

Soon after the video was shared it went viral on social media and several users shared their reactions to it.

While some called the method a “waste of time”, some said it was a “genius idea.”

A user wrote, “Vah Dadi kya dimaag lagaaya hai.” Another user wrote, “Dadi ji ye dekh ke muh mein paani aa gaya.” (my mouth started watering after seeing this).

“She be like: I don’t like easy ways,” said another person.

“Love this innovation,” read a remark.

“What a waste, just cut it and eat it,” read another comment.

The video has gathered 28.8 million views since the time it was first shared online.
