As unusual as it sounds, the dish has caught huge attention on social media, thanks to the unconventional approach of the food vlogger who decided to prepare the dessert using oranges, lemons and bhindi (okra). In a video shared on Instagram, the vlogger takes us through the recipe for this unique ice cream, prompting a myriad of reactions from Internet users.

The clip shared by Stephen N’cho showcases a man preparing a green ice cream that is sure to intrigue you. It opens with him taking a bowl of okra followed by chopping it, washing it and removing the seeds. In the next step, he blends the seeds with some orange zest and goes ahead to add some flour, butter and other ingredients. As the batter gets prepared, he uses it to make a waffle cone. Proceeding further, we can see him making the ice cream with some chopped fruits. After freezing the ice cream, he scoops the same into the bhindi waffle cone.

Upon being shared, the video immediately gained traction, garnering nearly 2.5 million views. Further, it divided the viewers as they shared their contrasting opinions on the food experiment. One of the users who seemingly disapproved of the dish and wrote, “As an Indian, this gave me a mild heart attack.” “My Indian mom will not approve,” added another.

Conversely, a section of people also liked the unique dish with one of them even writing, “I’ve been silently watching this guy and EVERY TIME he amazes me.” Another appreciated the vlogger saying, “Wow! Previously, another video surfaced on social media depicting a street vendor preparing a Gulab Jamun Dosa. During the preparation, the vendor put three pieces of gulab jamun on the hot dosa batter and smashed them to spread evenly on the dosa. For the finishing touches, he added some coconut flakes, cream and sugar syrup. The caption of the video read, “Atrangi Gulab Jamun Dosa.” Contrary to what we believe, the food vlogger in the video liked the bizarre dish prepared by the street vendor.
