Boy Discovers Parents’ Open Marriage Upon Surprise Visit To Home

We often love to surprise our parents with gifts or sudden visits. Recently, a surprise visit by a boy changed his whole life, the moment he opened his house’s door. The son’s plan to surprise his parents took an unexpected turn, when he found out that his parents are in an open marriage. The boy told Reddit that his intention to surprise his parents by showing up unexpectedly at home was thwarted when he noticed that another woman had opened the door of his house. When asked about her identity, she admitted herself to being his father’s girlfriend. After this, he asked her if she was aware that his father was already married. She responded with a casual “Yes.” The boy was even more surprised by this. At that time his father was out for work and his mother was not at all visible in the house. In such a circumstance the boy walked immediately to his father’s office and inquired about the whole situation. His father kept him in the dark and asked him to leave.

The boy then gave his mother a call. He thought his mother would be astounded as well, but she gave him a cool response. After revealing that she was seeing someone else, his mother revealed that she and his father were not committed to each other. In an open marriage, the husband and wife are not required to make commitments to one another.

The boy turned to Reddit, hurt and perplexed. Subsequently, his post has garnered an abundance of comforting remarks. Some even assert that they have personally encountered such circumstances.
