As the 2016 Summer Olympic Games approach, the Cupertino company continues with its campaign of distinctive imagery. American poet Maya Angelou reads her own work, "Human Family," over a montage of still images and short clips created by iPhone users the world over.
Previous clips featured on Apple's Shot on iPhone series, posted to its YouTube channel, typically run for 16 seconds, but this collective treatment reaches just over a minute in length.
Apple has installed it, front and center, on its home page, and is expected to have it shown during commercial breaks for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, whose opening ceremony takes place on August 5.
A spoken word version of Angelou reading "Human Family," without musical accompaniment, can be found on the Scientific American's website.
