Teja Sajja-starrer HanuMan has garnered over Rs 200 crore worldwide at the box office. It was written and directed by Prashanth Varma. The film is the first instalment of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. Made on a budget of Rs 20 crore, the movie has taken the film industry by storm with its exceptional visuals and unique storytelling. The VFX of the movie is widely appreciated by the critics and the audience. While the movie is shattering records at the box office, the VFX artist HanuMan is gaining all the praise from the audience. The VFX of the movie is executed by Udai Krishan. While speaking on the success of the movie, the VFX creator of HanuMan, Udai Krishna says that he feels blessed for getting an opportunity to work as the visual effects expert for the movie.
Uday Krishna also praised the vision of Prashanth Varma for the movie HanuMan. He compared his visionary ability to the ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli. In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Udai Krishna said that the journey with HanuMan has been a testament to the transformative power of vision and resilience in the realm of VFX. When asked about the challenges faced due to the low budget, Udai Krishna said, “Instead of viewing it as a hindrance, we saw it as an opportunity to showcase our ability to deliver exceptional visual effects under challenging circumstances.” He further said that his team adopted a strategic mindset that focused on key aspects of VFX that would create a massive impact on screens. Through this approach, they converted the limitation of a low budget into a ‘catalyst for creativity’ in the movie.
Resource allocation and strategic planning played a major role in delivering the impactful VFX scenes in the movie, as per Udai Krishna. “To make the most of our limited resources, we leveraged cost-effective technologies and innovative solutions,” explained Udai Krishna in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla. The success of HanuMan has now opened new doors for filmmakers to explore animation and visual storytelling without flooding the movie’s budget. Udai Krishna also advises young VFX artists to never stop learning while exploring their creativity.
