Salaar Box Office Day 5: Prabhas Film Sees A Slight Drop, Earns Rs 23.50 Crore
Salaar Box Office Collections: Prabhas starrrer has failed to make its mark at the box office as it only managed to earn Rs 23.50 crore in all languages on day 5.

Salaar Box Office Collections Day 5: Salaar: Cease Fire – Part 1, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has dropped further at the domestic box office on the fifth day of its release. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame, only managed to collect Rs 23.50 net in India for all languages on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Salaar witnessed over 49 percent drop and had an overall 40.94 percent Telugu occupancy on its fifth day, according to Sacnilk.com. Its current total now stands at Rs 278.90 net at the domestic office.

Salaar had earned around Rs 95 crore in India on its opening day across all languages. However, on day two, it dropped to Rs 56.35 crore. On day three, the film jumped again at the box office and recorded a collection of Rs 62.05 crore. But the film dipped again on Monday as it only managed to earn around Rs 43 crore.

Interestingly, Salaar has beaten Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Jawan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal to become the biggest opener of 2023. While Pathaan had earned Rs 57 crore on its first day in India, Jawan and Animal had reported an opening of Rs 75 crore and Rs 63 crore, respectively.

Apart from Prabhas, Hombale Films’ production Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur. Salaar has a duration of 2 hours and 55 minutes and was given an ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. The movie has several intense combat scenes, violence, and battle scenes.

The film received mixed reviews upon its arrival. News18 Showsha’s review of Salaar read, “The problem with a film like Salaar is that it focuses too much on the aesthetics and neglects the storyline. The film veers erratically back and forth between the past and present. I got a little lost in the movie way too soon because of the disorganized writing, characters that were introduced faster than a meteoroid colliding with Earth, and a plot that only really started up after the intermission.”
