New Delhi: Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare has claimed that his statements on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi have not been reported correctly by a section of the media. Targeting Modi, he said that the BJP's agenda is communal.
"I read in a newspaper yesterday that I have said that Narendra Modi is not communal. It was misreported. I have come today to clarify this," said Hazare about an Indore-based newspaper that quoted him as saying that he did not find Modi communal and there was no evidence to prove the same.
Even Hazare's aides said that he never made the statement. They added that Hazare was undergoing treatment in a Delhi hospital.
