New Delhi: A day after returning from his 3-nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting his top ministers on Wednesday to finalise the programme to celebrate his government completing one year in office on May 26. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance government is planning to release a 150-170 page booklet called 'Samvad' which will highlight the government's achievements in the last one year. The booklet will also have a 25 page summary.

Modi himself will be holding a mega rally in Mathura on May 25. Apart from that, Modi and his ministers will also be holding a series of press conferences to communicate their work to voters.

Massive celebrations are being planned across India with nearly 250 rallies to be held by the BJP. The party has planned one rally in every two Lok Sabha constituencies. Modi has also directed all MPs to visit their constituencies from May 26 to 31 and communicate the work done by the Centre.

A series of meetings are being held to finalise Modi government's programmes to mark one year in power. The programmes are likely to be finalised after Modi gives the go ahead.

Modi took over as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014 along with a small group of his Council of Ministers after leading his party to a majority in the Lok Sabha. It was the first time the history of India that apolitical party other than Congress had managed to secure majority on its own in the Lok Sabha.

Meanwhile, BJP's ideological head - the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) - has has decided to tone down public criticism of the government and the BJP. According to reports, the decision is being communicated to the cadres and RSS affiliated organisations. Reports also say that the Sangh has decided to back the the government's controversial Land Acquisition Bill. Lately, RSS has been very vocal in its criticism of the Modi government.
