Lucknow: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday assured that the deteriorating law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh would be brought back on track.
Rajnath was visiting his Lok Sabha constituency Lucknow for the first time after general elections when he said, "The law and order which has derailed in UP will be brought on track..though it will take some time."
Singh's remarks come in wake of the surge in crime against women in UP under Akhilesh Yadav government.
Singh who is a former chief minister of UP thanked the Lucknow voters for a record mandate in the Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking at the function, the Union Minister also hailed the Bharatiya Janata Party as the only party to have formed government at the Centre with a clear majority after Congress party.
