Raipur: BJP President Amit Shah will visit Chhattisgarh on Monday to take part in an event organised New Delhi Singh government in the state. Shah will address a convention of BJP at Science College Grounds where a large number of party workers are expected to gather from across Chhattisgarh, a state party spokesperson said.
During the day-long visit, he will also dedicate the newly constructed Late Nanaji Deshmukh Granthalaya (library) at the Kushabhau Thakre Parisar, which houses the state BJP headquarters, he added.
As per the schedule made available by the party, Shah will arrive at the Swami Vivekanand Airport here in the morning and leave for the state BJP headquarterswhere he will inaugurate the library.
Later, the BJP President will address the party workers at around 1 pm.
Besides Chief Minister Raman Singh, BJP General Secretaries Saroj Pandey and Ram Lal, Joint General Secretary Saudan Singh and Union MinisterVishnu Deo Sai will be present at the programme organised to mark completion of 13 years of the party government in the tribal-dominated state. Shah will leave for the airport in the evening, the spokesperson said.
BJP stormedtopowerfor a third consecutive term in the 2013 Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, which came into existence in November 2000 following bifurcation of Madhya Pradesh. Singh will complete three years of his third term in office on December 12.
