Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of Rocky Randhawa in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani became an instant hit among fans. His free-spirited character was loved by the audience. Not only did Indian fans embrace his charismatic and carefree nature, but it seems the admiration has transcended borders. International actors have also taken notice, with Thai heartthrob Vachirawit Chivaaree, known as Bright, being the latest to join the Rocky fan club.
Amidst his busy schedule promoting the Indo-Thai series Congrats My Ex, Bright said he would love to play the role of Rocky if Thai filmmakers decide to remake Karan Johar’s film in the future.
During a discussion with Hindustan Times, Bright’s co-star Anahita Bhooshan suggested that Vachirawit and their film’s female lead, the talented actress Bella Ranee Campen will look perfect as Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. However, Bright has set his priorities straight as he’s keen on playing Rocky. He stated, “This character seems fun.” His co-stars Mahir Pandhi and Bella added, “Yes, Bright loves money, he would be perfect.”
Further talking about the kinds of roles he wants to play in the future, Vachirawit Chivaaree revealed, “Something that fun, unputdownable and makes me lose track of time. Any type of genre, something that would make me feel, one needs to watch it.”
Following his role as Tim in the upcoming series Congrats My Ex, which is heavily inspired by the Hindi film industry, Bright now wishes to work in Bollywood films. The actor said it would be a fantastic opportunity to explore the vibrant film industry of India. He stated that if in future he is offered a Hindi film, he wouldn’t hesitate to accept.
Talking about the upcoming series, the actor added, “This was an opportunity of a lifetime. The amazing cast, the splash of Bollywood and the colours of India were very exciting. That apart, my character Tim is very complex and it was challenging playing an ex. I had to restrain my emotions of love and hate and tap into feelings I have not experienced in real life, so this was the perfect opportunity.”
Congrats My Ex, starring Vachirawit Chivaaree, Bella Ranee Campen, Anahita Bhooshan and Mahir Pandhi, is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 16.
