The Black Label was founded by Teddy Park and Kush, the minds behind some major hits by BLACKPINK, 2NE1 and Taeyang. It is now functioning as an associate company of YG Entertainment. In February this year, the agency confirmed its plan to debut a new group in 2024 and, by April, also filed a copyright trade for the name MEOVV.

While details about the group’s debut date are yet to be disclosed, The Black Agency is set to host the MEOVV Debut Pre-Listening Pop-Up this month. The event will be held in Seoul from August 29 to September 4, offering fans a chance to buy the group merchandise and click pictures at the photo booth.
