Tejas Teaser: Kangana Ranaut Suits Up For Top Gun Style Film; Delays Release To Avoid Ganapath Clash

Tejas Teaser: Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas is set to release this month. Ahead of the film’s release, director Sarvesh Mewara released the teaser. The teaser was released on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The teaser revealed Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing airforce officer Tejas Gill who will take on the skies and fight for the country. The makers had previously confirmed that the film is not a biopic.

With the teaser launch, the team also revealed that they are pushing the release date by a week. Tejas is now set to release on October 27. The film will no longer clash with Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath.

Ahead of the teaser launch, Kangana had shared a new poster as well of the film. “Jab bhi baat desh ki aayegi, woh saari hadein paar kar jaayegi!" she wrote, sharing a poster in which she was seen wearing the uniform and heading into the battlefield.

Tejas has been in the pipeline for three years now. The film was originally slated to release in December 2020. Kangana had announced that the film’s original release date in August 2020. At the time, in a statement to the press, Kangana said, “Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot. I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday. Our film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes … Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie (Ronnie Screwvala, producer)." However, the film has since been delayed several times.

The film was set to release on October 20, eyeing a clash with Ganapath. The film, directed by Vikas Bahl, stars Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The team had also recently released a teaser. However, the teaser has confirmed it will avoid the clash.
