Social media personality Kusha Kapila has been hogging the limelight for quite some time now. In June, she shocked the internet by announcing her separation from her husband Zorawar Ahluwalia. Soon after, speculations went rife that Kusha was dating Arjun Kapoor, amidst the actor’s rumoured split up with Malaika Arora. Rubbishing the rumours, Kusha seems to have focused her attention on her work commitments now, bagging not one but two Bollywood films — Thank You For Coming and Sukhee. While on a promotional outing for Sukhee, the 33-year-old made a surprising revelation. Kusha claimed that she considers Rakhi Sawant to be her idol.
In an interaction with Filmygyan, when the host asked Kusha Kapila to share her opinion on Rakhi Sawant, the Selfiee actress wasted no time in calling Rakhi a “Queen (with a) crown emoji.” “I consider her (Rakhi) to be my idol,” she admitted. Recalling the time when she got the opportunity to meet Rakhi Sawant in person, Kusha confessed to “fangirling” over Rakhi. Citing the reason for her admiration towards Rakhi, Kusha added that it was because “she is a pop culture icon. And there’s nobody who has been able to stay relevant for that many years. So let’s give credit to where it is due.”

During the conversation, Kusha Kapila also highlighted a particular video of Rakhi Sawant which has been going viral on social media, sparking a meme fest among the masses. It captures Rakhi, draped in a bright red abaya coupled with silver accessories issuing a warning to the men to maintain a safe distance from her. “Aadmi log touch maat karo (Men, don’t touch me)” she can be heard saying strictly.

Soon after Kusha Kapila’s video surfaced on the internet, fans agreed to her opinion about Rakhi Sawant. While one user commented, “Really Rakhi being someone’s idol is justified… she’s so fierce!” another quipped, “Absolutely! Cmon… She’s entertained us for ages.”
Speaking about Kusha Kapila, she was last seen in the Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi-starrer Selfiee. She will next be seen in director Karan Boolani’s Thank You For Coming, co-starring Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, and Shibani Bedi. The comedy-drama is slated to hit the silver screens on October 6. Meanwhile, Kusha has also joined hands with filmmaker Sonal Joshi for an upcoming comedy-drama titled Sukee. She will be sharing screen space with Shilpa Shetty. Sukhee will be hitting the theatres on September 22.
