Kangana Ranaut is leaving no stone unturned in her preparations for the forthcoming project Emergency, a film that delves into the political journey of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She is now all set to announce the release date of her upcoming period drama film. In her latest social media entry, Kangana Ranaut gave fans a sneak peek into the dubbing session and updated them about the film’s release.
“Aaj Emergency movie keliye dubbing shuru ki, release date announcement coming soon”, Kangana Ranaut shared this exciting update along with a snapshot capturing her immersed in the script while being seated with folded legs on a chair.

Originally slated for a November 2023 release, the film’s premiere was rescheduled to 2024. To inform the fans, Kangana Ranuat wrote, “Dear friends, I have an important announcement to make, Emergency movie is the culmination of my entire life’s learnings and earnings as an artist. Emergency is not just a film for me it’s a test of my worth and character as an individual. The tremendous response that our teaser and other units got from everyone encouraged us all. My heart is full of gratitude and wherever I go people ask me about Emergency’s release date (sic).”
While Kangana Ranaut expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response to the film’s teaser, she also shared that the team has decided to push back the release date. “We have announced the Emergency release date as 24th November 2023 but because of all the changes in my back-to-back releasing films calendar and over-packed last quarter of 2024, we have decided to shift Emergency to next year (2024). New release date will be announced soon, please bear with us, your anticipation, curiosity and excitement for the film means a lot. Yours truly Kangana Ranaut (sic).”
The first teaser promo for Emergency showed a bit of the chaos during India’s emergency era. Kangana Ranaut in the film confidently declared, “Mujhe iss desh ki raksha karne se koi nahi rok sakta.”
Earlier, as she wrapped up filming, Kangana Ranaut shared three pictures from the set and disclosed the challenges she faced. She mentioned mortgaging all her property to ensure the film’s completion and even battled dengue during the first schedule. Kangana concluded her note by thanking her tremendously talented team for making the film possible.
Emergency also features Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, late Satish Kaushik, and Shreyas Talpade in key roles.
