Delnaaz Irani Says Suhana Khan Gave Her A Hug, Called her Sweetu When They Met: ‘Felt So Much Warmth'

Delnaaz Irani, known for her role as Sweetu in Shah Rukh Khan’s Kal Ho Naa Ho, continued to be associated with the character years later. When she played an important role in Suhana Khan’s debut film, The Archies, Delnaaz said she had a lot of love and affection for the budding actress. Delnaaz recalled giving Suhana a “big tight hug” when she met her and shared that Suhana fondly referred to her as Sweetu.

“I felt so much warmth when I met her,” she said during a chat with Pinkvilla. The actress added, “I felt like I got the same amount of warmth and love that I was expecting and realised that she was also expecting the same. We had such a warm conversation. It was nice meeting her. I hardly had scenes with her, but every time I met her, there was so much love.”

Having shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in Kal Ho Naa Ho, Ra.One, and Bhoothnath, Delnaaz said that there is a lot to learn from Shah Rukh Khan. “I have just warm memories of him. He is so wonderful as a human being and an actor. You learn so much from him when he is on the sets. Most importantly one can learn discipline from his conduct. One can learn so many small nuisances as an actor, his craft is so spectacular that you keep looking at him,” she said.

Delnaaz said that SRK’s best quality is maintaining unity within the team and fostering a positive atmosphere on set. She shared that he ensures smooth working on the sets of all his projects. “He ensures smooth functioning on the sets of all his projects. He is very loving and very caring and that’s what one can take away while working with him. You just need to observe him and you’ll learn so many things from him,” she shared.
