Vipul Shah is a known Bollywood filmmaker and producer, who has backed many successful films like The Kerala Story, Bastar: The Naxal Story and the Commando franchise. His films have left an indelible impression on the minds of the audience. Now, the interesting thing is that Andy Long Nguyen, an acclaimed action director, who has recently worked in a high-budget film has worked the most with Vipul Shah. But, who is Andy Long? Andreas Nguyen aka Andy Long, is an exceptional action director who ventured into the world of martial arts after getting deeply influenced by Jackie Chan. Inspired by his idol, he trained in different kinds of martial arts like Judo, Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kung Fu, and Wing Chun. He also practised stunt falls, acrobatics and urban jumps (parkour). He travelled the world to gain more knowledge about his field and in 2006, he founded his own action film team, Mag Fighters and began to shoot, direct, produce, choreograph, edit and whatnot. His skills in creating such content grabbed attention and he made his way to join the film business in Germany.
Andy Long has worked with Jackie Chan as a JC Stunt Team member on films like Chinese Zodiac, Police Story: Lockdown and Dragon Blade. He also caught the eye of Vipul Shah, who has a fearless attitude towards storytelling and has been consistent with it- case in point, the Commando series headlined by Vidyut Jammwal. Vipul Shah and Andy Long have collaborated on many films like Commando: A One Man Army, Commando 2: The Black Money Trail, Commando 3, and Sanak. The high-octane and intense action sequences and thought-provoking narrative were immense.
Recently, Andy Long collaborated with Nag Ashwin for Kalki 2898 AD, where he was roped in as the stunt choreographer and truly blew away the minds of the audience with his flawless work in the epic science fiction film. Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Vijay Deverakonda and many others.
