Karan Johar’s latest production, Kill, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last year, marks Lakshya Lalwani’s Bollywood debut. The film was showcased in the Midnight Madness section of TIFF and was one of 10 films chosen to be exhibited at the festival.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal will soon be sharing the screen with Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in the comedy Bad Newz. The film’s trailer has already been released and is receiving positive feedback from the audience. Recently, the makers also released the first song, Tauba Tauba, which has been trending on social media. Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s chemistry in the song has sparked a lot of buzz. Sung by Karan Aujla, the music video features Vicky in a stylish black suit and glasses, while Triptii stuns in a short, sequin body-hugging dress. Their flawless moves in the video are sure to get everyone grooving.
Bad Newz, directed by Anand Tiwari, is a romantic comedy starring this new trio. The plot revolves around Triptii’s character realising that she is carrying a child from two different fathers (Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk). She embarks on a journey to determine who, among the two, would be best suited to be a good father to the child. The film offers a novel plotline with humorous elements that have piqued audiences’ interest. Bad Newz, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, will be released in theatres on July 19.
