Angelina Jolie Accuses Brad Pitt Of Trying To Silence Her Allegations Of Abuse With NDA: Report
The ex-couple purchased the French estate together in 2008, but disputes have persisted since 2022 when Brad Pitt sued Angelina Jolie for allegedly selling her share of the winery without his consent.

The long-running legal battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shows no signs of resolution. The actors, who separated in 2016, continue to clash over their former jointly-owned winery, Chateau Miraval. The ex-couple purchased the French estate together in 2008, but disputes have persisted since 2022, when Pitt, 60, sued Jolie, 49, for allegedly selling her share of the winery without his consent. Two years later, both the civil lawsuit and a separate custody battle of their children—Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Vivienne and Knox (16)—are still ongoing.

On August 1, Angelina Jolie’s lawyers reportedly filed new court documents related to the Chateau Miraval case. In their latest submission on August 2, Jolie’s legal team supported her previous motion to compel Brad Pitt to disclose records concerning a 2016 plane incident. Jolie had claimed in a 2022 court filing that Pitt choked one of their six children during this incident. Pitt’s attorneys have dismissed this request, labelling it a “sensationalist fishing expedition,” according to E! News.

Jolie’s lawyers argue she “is simply defending herself from Pitt’s baseless allegations.”

“Pitt’s narrative is that this case is just about a ‘business dispute but that is Pitt’s theory. Jolie’s theory is that this case is about Pitt’s attempt to use Miraval as leverage to control and enforce her silence. The jury will decide what the evidence shows, but for now, Jolie is entitled to gather the evidence she needs to support her theory,” reads the document, as reported by E! News.

Jolie’s legal team has also reportedly said that she “was not acting with malice” by selling her share of the winery.

The issue of NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) has been prominent in this case, especially since a judge recently ordered Jolie to produce eight years’ worth of them.

E! News further informs that in April, a court filing revealed that a judge had granted Pitt’s motion requiring Jolie to provide, within 60 calendar days, “all non-privileged documents in her possession, custody, or control” along with a “privilege log including sufficient factual information regarding any and all responsive documents that Jolie asserts are privileged to allow Plaintiffs to evaluate the merits of Jolie’s assertions of privilege.”
