TRIPUNITHURA: Thrikketta Purappadu, the most auspicious night of the Vrischikolsavam, will be celebrated on Saturday at the Poornathrayeesha Temple here.As per the anecdotes, it was on this auspicious day that the famous saint Vilwamangalathu Swamiyar visited the temple.To commemorate the unique union of Vilwamangalathu Swamiyar and the presiding deity, Thrikketta, the fourth day of the eight-day long festival , is cons idered to be the most auspicious night.On this particular day the Kolam (decorated backdrop for displaying the Thidambu) will be of pure gold and will also be decorated with precious stones including emerald and pearl.The tusker carrying the Thidambu will have golden caparison, alavattom and venchaaram with golden holdings. Tens of thousands of devotees will turn up to offer ‘Kanikka’ in the golden pot placed in front of the presiding deity
