Two motorcycle-borne brothers were crushed to death by an over speeding truck when they were returning home after offering Eid prayers in Chakeri area here, police said on Saturday.
Iqbaal Javed (38), a resident of Sanigawan area, was returning home on Friday on the motorcycle with his younger brother after offering Namaz when his bike was hit by another motorcycle due to which both of them fell down and came under the wheels of the truck which was coming from behind, police said.
The brothers died on the spot and the truck driver fled from the accident spot.
After the accident, relatives of the victims reached the spot and protested against the mishap.
Senior police officials reached the spot and tried to pacify them.
A case has been registered against the absconding truck driver and the truck has been impounded.
