Lucknow: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will address rallies in Aligarh and Rampur on Wednesday.
The rallies are aimed to be part of an awareness drive, mainly to apprise the farmers with the recent Land Acquisition Bill.
Incidentally, Rampur is also the hometown of Samajwadi Party's minority face and minister Azam Khan.
Azam Khan hit out at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for organising rallies in Aligarh and Rampur. Khan took a dig at the Gandhi scion saying that the Congress has done nothing but loot the nation. "This rally is called 'Dhanyavad Rally.' But I wonder what does he want to thank the people for. Is it for the fact that the Congress has looted the country.Or is it for the failed foreign policy due to which every neighbouring counrty is our enemy today," said Khan.
The Congress rallies have been christened 'Dhanyavaad Rallies' and are aimed at thanks-giving by the "party and the people for Rahul Gandhi's proactive role in getting landmark legislations like Land Acquisition Bill and Food Security Bill passed in parliament.
