The Income Tax officials have also joined the probe.Police sources told Express that following a tipoff, the Guntakal police intercepted a truck at Hanuman circle this evening and found in it currency bundles of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 in three bags.

The lorry driver, Venkatarami Reddy, and his assistant Eswar Reddy, both hailing from Kadapa district, were taken into custody. The police quickly arranged counting machines to count the seized cash.
