BHUBANESWAR: The state-owned Orissa Mining Corporation (OMC) on Thursday made a contribution of Rs. 5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). Industries and Steel and Mines Minister Raghunath Mohanty handed over the cheque to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the latter’s office. Special Secretary General Administration Upendra Behera, Steel and Mines Secretary Manoj Ahuja and other senior officers of OMC were present. Anglo-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto and MGM Group having interest in steel making and mining have also contributed Rs. 20 lakh each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on Thursday. Prayag Infotech made a contribution of Rs. 5 lakh while Orissa Engineering College and Orissa Diploma Engineers Association donated ` 1 lakh each to the CMRF.
