Need for bigger interaction within varsities

CHENNAI: Madras University Vice Chancellor G Thiruvasagam has called on faculty and students spread across the various campuses of the university to increase their interactions and avoid functioning as separate units. He also urged them to make full and effective use of the university’s infrastructure.Thiruvasagam’s comments came at the 35th Institute Day celebrations of the Dr ALM Post Graduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, which functions at Madras University’s campus in Tharamani.“All of us, spread out across the various campuses of our university must interact more. We are seeing a situation where if there is a programme at the main campus then those from the Tharamani campus and the Guindy campus do not take part. The reverse is also true. After all, we are all part of the same university” Thiruvasagam told the students and faculty gathered for the function.He also called on the students to use the university’s infrastructure.
