Mystery shrouds womans death

VIJAYAWADA : Velugeti Saraswathi (47), a senior accountant in SBH, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her house in Payakapuram on Saturday.According to the police, Saraswathi was living alone. When she did not come to the SBH branch at Suryaraopet, her colleagues went her home to get the keys and found the door locked. They informed the matter to her brother Sudhakar, who broke the lock open and entered the house to find Saraswathi lying dead on the floor. Liquor bottles, beedis and chilli powder were found in the room. The iron safe door was broken. DCP M Ravindranath Babu, Central Zone ACP BSN Rao, Payakapuram inspector A Rambabu and crime SI G Durga Rao visited house. Clues team was pressed into the service.
