In a bid to strengthen its retail foothold in Chennai, Lenovo, one of the country’s prominent makers in personal computers launched its new store in Alwarpet. With over 1,000 stores across the country, the expansion is in tandem with Lenovo’s plan to build a strong retail infrastructure market in the city.
Currently, Lenovo has four exclusive stores in Chennai and it has partnered with M/s Ziptech Infosolutions Pvt Ltd for the new store. Ziptech has future plans to be present in the city’s leading malls and other areas as well. The new Lenovo Exclusive Store (LES) will showcase the entire consumer range of Lenovo’s Notebooks, Netbooks, Desktops and All-in-Ones and accessories.
Speaking on the alliance, Sudhir S, Managing Director of Ziptech said, “Lenovo is the numero uno and has great equity in the Indian PC market. We are proud to have them as a partner to address the burgeoning requirements of consumers. Lenovo stores are unique in their design, experience and consultative approach, and we believe that this USP sets them apart from the other players in the market.”
Inaugurating the new store, Ashok Nair, director - South, Lenovo India, said, “Chennai is one of the most important markets for Lenovo, thanks to the huge market potential. Our strong retail success will make computing extremely accessible to our customers across Chennai.”
The launch of this new store is in line with Lenovo’s retail strategy of ‘Get closer’ to its customers and penetrate deeper into high potential cities like Chennai with a wide range of consumer products under the Lenovo IdeaPad and Lenovo IdeaCentre brands. New consumer products available in the store include the Lenovo IdeaPad Ultra books U310 and U410.
