K H Abdul Saleem passes away

ALUVA: K H Abdul Saleem, 52, executive director of Karothukuzhi Hospital, died at Lakeshore Hospital, Ernakulam, on Thursday afternoon. He is the son of the late Hassan Vaidyar Karothukuzhi, Aluva. He was residing at SN Puram, Aluva. The burial will be held at Kodikuthimala Juma Masjid Khabarstan near Aluva at 10 am on Friday.Saleem was actively involved in social and educational activities. He was also a good sportsperson. A black belt in Shito Ryu Karate-Do, Saleem played a crucial role in promoting karate in the state. He held several positions in the Karate Association and All-India Karate-Do Federation. Saleem was the technical director of Karate at the Friendship Karate Centre.He is survived by wife Raziya, children Nufiya, Safal K Saleem and Sidan K Saleem, brothers Dr K H Ahmed (chief physician of Karothukuzhi Hospital), K H Abdul Hameed (Retd engineer, Apollo Tyres), K H Siddique (managing director, Karothukuzhi Hospital Pvt Ltd.) and Dr K H Abdul Nazar (chief physician, Karothukuzhi Pharmacy).
