HYDERABAD: With an aim to improve literacy rate among the Muslim community, the Jamaat-e- Islami Hind (JIH) is launching a 10-day campaign across the state from June 17, Abdul Raqueb Latifi, state general secretary of JIH has said.Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, he said the campaign includes survey of minorities dwelling in the slums, visiting every home and explaining about the importance of education and supplying books and clothes if needed and conduct educational rallies.Apart from this career guidance, counselling sessions, parent-teacher meetings would also be conducted in Muslim populated areas.
