Mumbai: Rheema Khan, the wife of Pune-based stud farm owner Hasan Ali, would be present in the Supreme Court on Monday when the Enforcement Directorate submits a status report of the probe into his alleged money-laundering activities.
"Hasan Ali's wife would appear before the Supreme Court on Monday," said his lawyer, advocate I A Bagadia here.
Bagadia also said she had faxed a letter to ED, saying she would appear before the agency on April 1.
Rheema had earlier been summoned by ED with regard to the case, and she had accordingly appeared before the agency.
Hasan Ali is currently in judicial custody till April 8, and is lodged in the high-security Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.
The apex court have to sought status report of the probe on Monday.
Khan is accused of stashing away billions of dollars in Swiss banks and is also facing a Rs 70,000-crore tax demand notice from the Income Tax Department.
Last week, the apex court sent India's alleged top tax evader Hasan Ali's to judicial custody.
Hasan Ali's wife is also expected to be present in the court on Monday although there is no confirmation on it.Hasan Ali is currently lodged in the Arthur jail in Mumbai. The ED is also questioning Tapuriah to find about the various transactions that took place from the Swiss bank account and also on other accounts opened by Khan at Tapuriah's insistence.
