New Delhi: After logging points in the first two races of the Formula One season, Force India team is upbeat and looking to better their performance in the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend.

The Force India team will be heading to the Chinese Grand Prix, held at the state of the art Shanghai International Circuit, with high hopes of keeping its recent run of form.

Paul Di Resta picked up his second points-finish of the year in Malaysia Sunday with a fighting 10th place, with Adrian Sutil just outside the top 10, taking the team's season total to four points.

"After a difficult winter testing, we had two points-finishes in two races. It's very pleasing to see how we have progressed over the last few weeks, by keeping our heads down and focussing on our game," said Vijay Mallya, Force India chairman and team principal.

"The teams at Brackley and Silverstone have done a great job with the VJM04 so far and with upgrades due for the coming races, I am optimistic that we shall be able to continue improving our form."

Sutil said he is excited to drive at the Shanghai circuit.

"It is a modern circuit with an extensive Paddock. The weather can be a little bit tricky with cold and sometimes wet conditions but in general it is a grand prix I like."

Di Resta said he will be looking to continue his good form of the season.

"It is quite a technical track and one that I am keen to experience more as I had a small taste of it last year.

"I visited Shanghai city twice last year and it is huge with an amazing culture and great things to see, so it should be a good weekend," said the Briton.
